Whether you choose to volunteer with Projects Abroad (www.projects-abroad.co.uk) or another organisation, they will all value your help.

Explore multicultural communities, learn about the complexities of South Africa’s past and present, and help give disadvantaged people the tools they need for the future. Here are some of the top reasons why people choose to volunteer in South Africa.

Live with locals

Living with a host family gives you the chance to live, eat, drink and sleep like a local. You can also meet other volunteers and make friends from all over the world who are going through the same experiences as you. South Africa is a popular place in which to volunteer, so you’ll always have a strong group of peers around you to help you settle in and make the most of your time.
